Merve Akdogan (they/them), is an interdisciplinary designer, architect, and artist in digital media, whose work uniquely amalgamates machine learning, AI, immersive art, data science, and computational art. They are interested in errors, computational glitches, uncertainties, unknowns, and the speculative power of computational making and designing. They are also keen on using old devices and mechanisms, hacking hegemonic technology infrastructures, circuit-bending, randomization, and so on.
Merve is currently working as a Research Assistant at the MIT Future Heritage Lab, engaging in art projects focusing on cultural and political narratives.
